BY MAPPING INVISIBLE LABOUR, WE UNLOCKED A NETWORK OF TRUST THAT CONNECTED LOCAL ACTORS WITH HIGH-LEVEL INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORKS.

A trilingual (IT, EN, DK) editorial and photographic project documenting the uncodified work of rural communities in the Susa Valley. It serves as a primary proof of concept for our methodology: translating prolonged observation and structural listening into a premium cultural asset.

STRATEGIC OUTCOME

Transforming relational depth into institutional legitimacy, network activation, and a tangible reputational asset.

WALK, DISCOVER, SHARE – FROM A SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION TO A PLATFORM FOR TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT.

Va’ Sentiero was born from the discovery of Sentiero Italia and from a full-scale expedition across the peninsula: 7,850 km walked between 2019 and 2021, followed by a series of outputs that gave the project public visibility and institutional weight — media partnerships, a free digital guide, a Rizzoli book, an itinerant photo exhibition, a Sky-LaEffe series, and the European Heritage Award 2022.

OPERATIONAL FRICTION:

After that first cycle, the challenge was organizational: the project had to decide what it should grow into next. The team needed to define a clearer value proposition for markets and partners, keep the social community expanding, and remain a recognizable point of reference for territorial communication while moving beyond the original expedition phase.

SOLUTION PROVIDED:

The work focused on structuring the second phase of the project after the Sentiero Italia expedition, identifying what had traction, what could become a market-facing proposition, and what should continue to sustain the community. The result was a clearer growth path built around new routes, new territories, and a sharper interface with partners, institutions, companies, and local stakeholders.
